A Message from the Principal of Cross

My name is Dr. Rhonda McGuire, and I am honored and excited to serve as the principal of Cross Elementary. For more than 24 years, I have dedicated my career to public education because I believe every child deserves to feel safe, valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential. Throughout my journey as an educator and school leader, I have learned that exceptional schools are built on strong relationships, high expectations, and meaningful partnerships among families, staff, and the community. My vision for Cross Elementary is to build upon its strong foundation by creating a school where every student is empowered to grow academically, socially, and emotionally while developing a lifelong love of learning. I believe in open communication, celebrating successes, and working collaboratively to ensure every child thrives.

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, reading, exploring walking trails, and attending church. I look forward to partnering with you throughout the school year and cannot wait to meet each of you as we continue building on the proud traditions of Cross Elementary while striving to become the Gold Standard – a school where students excel, staff flourish, families are valued, and our entire community is proud to learn, work, and belong. Together, we will make this an incredible year filled with growth, achievement, and success for every student.
